AXA Investment Managers has strengthened its offshore proposition with the launch of its third absolute return offering.
The AXA WF Optimal Absolute fund is run by Serge Pizem and will sit in the group's Optimal Investments range. Its objective is to generate a positive annual return.
Pizem said the fund will invest across all asset classes, with allocation split between developed and emerging markets.
"I will seek the best yield opportunities in equities, bonds, foreign exchange and commodities," said Pizem.
"At launch the portfolio is invested primarily in monetary products because volatility is high and the correlation between major asset classes is unstable.
"The impact of political decisions is high upon markets and so we are avoiding committing too much capital in this environment."
The fund has an initial charge of 5.5% with an annual management charge of 1.5% for retail investors.
The vehicle is structured as UCITS III and domiciled in Luxembourg.
