Woodford in China seeking next opportunity

Beleaguered fund manager Neil Woodford has flown to China for exploratory meetings with investors for a potential comeback.

A spokesperson for Woodford Investment Management confirmed to Bloomberg that both Woodford and Craig Newman, the chief executive officer of the firm, are holding initial meetings for investors interested in early-stage assets. 2019: An appalling year for Woodford This comes following a tough year for the once-hailed fund manager, who saw his flagship fund suspended in June, before being sacked as manager by its ACD, Link Fund Solutions, culminating in Woodford IM being wound up.
