A nudge in the right direction

You have probably heard of the ‘nudge' concept.

It has become a bit of a buzzword around government these days, and put simply it means you can get people to make significant changes to their lives by gently pushing or nudging them in a new direction. If the government hectors us to lose weight, drink less, or exercise more so we do not all die of obesity-related diseases, at the end of the day, no-one listens. But subtle nudges can make a huge difference because we do not even really know we are making a change, the consequence of which will be huge.
