Daiwa offers UK investors access to Japanese dividend strategy

Daiwa SB Investments has made its Japan Equity Sustainable Dividend fund available to UK investors for the first time.

The Luxembourg-domiciled UCITS fund is a sub-fund of the firm's Luxembourg SICAV and managed by lead portfolio manager Seiji Iwama.  Since 2013 it has been managed on a segregated basis and is one of eight Japan funds run by the firm.  The fund seeks to achieve mid-to-long term capital appreciation through investing in Japanese equities, particularly those companies with sustainable dividend payouts and a low risk of dividend cuts.
