GAM rebrands Star Alternative Fixed Income fund

GAM has renamed its $137.5m Star Alternative Fixed Income fund, following a restructure and change in investment policy.

The Dublin-domiciled product has been rebranded as the GAM Star Absolute Return Macro fund and will sit in the firm's $11bn absolute return bond range. It will now have a more narrow focus on macro investment themes compared to the original strategy, employing a blend of discretionary investing and quantitative model-driven strategies. The fund will employ leverage to target an annualised return of 8%-10% above LIBOR.
