Neuberger Berman to hard close China Equity fund

Approaching $1.5bn capacity limit

Neuberger Berman is to hard close its NB China Equity fund to new investment following a soft close in September, as the product approaches its $1.5bn capacity limit.

The fund was soft-closed at around $1.1bn on 19 September but the firm said the size of the vehicle has continued to increase to near its limit of $1.5bn. As a result, the firm said it would close the fund to all subscriptions from 18 October 2017. However, it will remain open to redemption and exchange requests.
