Georgina Hamilton's Polar Capital fund takes £150m in first month

Favouring stocks with UK domestic exposure

Polar Capital's UK Value Opportunities fund, launched at the end of January for ex-Miton managers Georgina Hamilton and George Godber, has seen inflows of £151m in its first month.

The fund, which was launched on 31 January, is currently being managed solely by Hamilton, with Godber joining her in April as per his contractual agreement with former employer Miton. As of 28 February, the fund had 59 holdings and was over 90% invested, with Hamilton using a bottom-up investment approach to derive a portfolio of undervalued assets. Alongside Godber, Hamilton previously ran the Miton UK Value Opportunities fund for three years, which peaked at £869m AUM last March, before announcing their departure last April.
