Schroders and M&G to quit Investment Association

Fund management giants Schroders and M&G will not renew their membership in the Investment Association when it expires later in the year.

The two fund management giants will not be renewing their membership with the industry's most prominent body when it expires in a few months, Sky News reports. Schroders' head of investments Peter Harrison still sits on the Investment Association's board of directors; meanwhile, M&G's Will Nott has already stepped down from the board.  The broadcaster quoted sources saying the two directors plan to remain actively engaged with the industry body, but will no longer sit on the board.
