Bestinvest founder Spiers hires six for new wealth launch

Bestinvest founder John Spiers has hired a six-strong team for the launch of a new investment service at his recently acquired wealth management business, EQ Investors.

The former Bestinvest boss has made the hires in recent weeks to help with the launch, five of whom also previously worked at Bestinvest. They are former head of investment management Mike Neumann, Andrew Rees, Katharine Lindley, Sophie Muller and Kate West. Meanwhile Daniel Bland joins from his role as investment manager at Quilter Cheviot. The new hires will enable the firm, which currently has £500m in client assets, to launch a new bespoke investment service for private clients, companies and charities with lump sums above £750,000.
