Mirae man joins Hermes as Latin America head

Oliver Leyland has joined Hermes Investment Management as a Latin America specialist as the fund house expands its emerging markets team.

Leyland previously worked as a senior equity analyst at Mirae Asset Management, where he covered Latin America and CEEMEA. Before that, he was an equity analyst in the company's Brazil office. He was also part of the fund management team running global emerging markets and global long-only equity products. In his new role, Leyland will head Hermes' Latin America team and will work as a senior analyst in the company's nine-strong emerging markets team.
