Thursby and Geikie-Cobb to leave F&C

Fixed income managers Paul Thursby and Peter Geikie-Cobb are to leave F&C later this year.

Thursby and Geikie-Cobb (pictured) - who have worked at F&C since 2004 - currently run the group's £356m F&C Macro Global Bond fund. F&C said both managers were leaving the firm in order to pursue individual personal interests.  The group added the board of the bond fund would be appointing a new management team shortly, although the duo will continue to run the fund for up to six months until a replacement is found. The F&C Macro Global Bond fund has returned 1.04% over the year to 30 April according to FE, outperforming the sector average loss of 4.13%.
