Global equity manager Eide leaves Skagen

Global equity manager Torkell Eide is to exit Skagen after four years at the company.

Eide (pictured), who co-managed the €5.4bn Skagen Global fund, has opted to leave the Nordic-based company, marking the second high profile departure this year. At the end of last month, emerging markets specialist Ross Porter, who worked on the €6.3bn Kon-Tiki fund, quit the firm. Eide is returning to a former employer, AKO Capital, a London-based investment firm. Kristian Falnes will continue to lead the Skagen Global Equity fund, alongside portfolio managers Søren Milo Christensen and Chris-Tommy Simonsen.
