Six ASEAN themes to beat a Chinese bear market

China's major equity markets slipped further into bear market territory this week as traders worried about the withdrawal of QE in the US, and slowing Chinese growth.

Investors in Asia are having to look further afield for growth opportunities, notably the ASEAN markets, which still offer upside despite a strong run. This is the view of SooHai Lim, director of Asian equities at Barings and manager of the Baring ASEAN Frontiers fund.
