Aberdeen launches hedged classes on two bond funds

Aberdeen Asset Management is to introduce hedged share classes on two of its bond funds in a move to reduce currency volatility.

The group will be offering a US dollar hedged share class on its Aberdeen Global Select Euro High Yield Bond fund and a euro hedged share class on the Aberdeen Global Select Emerging Markets Bond fund. Both share class launches are slated for the 25 March. The move is intended to mitigate the impact of exchange rate fluctuations in the base currencies of the funds. These are the euro for the Euro High Yield bond fund and the US dollar for the Emerging Markets Bond fund.
