PIMCO brings global income bond fund to UK retail market

PIMCO has made its global multi-sector bond strategy available to UK retail investors for the first time.

The PIMCO GIS Income fund is managed by Dan Ivascyn, head of the mortgage credit portfolio management team, and Alfred Murata, portfolio manager on the mortgage credit team. The fund invests using a flexible approach to tactically shift exposure from one country or sector to another depending on where the manager sees opportunities for income. It may hold government bonds, inflation-linked bonds, mortgage-backed securities, investment grade corporate bonds, high yield, bank loans and emerging market bonds.
