Former BNP Paribas trader scoops poker title

Former BNP Paribas trader Andy Frankenberger has won almost $500,000 at a poker tournament in Las Vegas just two years after turning professional.

Frankenberger, a former member of the BNP Paribas equity derivatives trading desk in New York, won the $445,899 prize in the World Series of Poker's $10,000 pot-limit hold ‘em tournament earlier this week, beating poker star Phil Ivey in the process. The win repeats Frankenberger's 2011 success at the WSOP, where he scooped the $599,153 first prize in a $1,500 no limit game.
