Newton CIO changes roles to lead global equities team

Newton Investment Management's chief investment officer Jeff Munroe has moved to become head of global equities, as the group shakes up its management team.

Munroe, who has been CIO since 2001, will be replaced by Simon Pryke, who heads up the group's private client business. Helena Morrissey, the group's chief executive officer, said the change has been brought about to ensure the group is focused to produce strong performance across its range of mandates and position the firm for continued growth. "Munroe is committed to ensuring Newton's performance is consistent across our full range of mandates, and has decided to step down from his current role as chief investment officer in order to now lead the global equities team," said Morrisse...
