McKeand leaves Aegon for Australian role

Innes McKeand has left his post as head of equities at Aegon Asset Management to move to Australia.

He will start at AustralianSuper on 12 September in the same role, responsible for a AU$24bn equity portfolio. At Aegon, which will be rebranded as Kames Capital on 1 September, McKeand supported the equity fund managers on the regional teams since joining in 2006. A replacement head of equities has not yet been appointed but Andrew Fleming, European head of asset management, is recruiting.
