The top 15 trusts yielding more than the FTSE

Oriel Securities has highlighted the top equity based investment trusts yielding more than the FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and Small Cap.

With yields of 6.2%, both the Shires Income, run by Aberdeen, and Henderson High Income trusts have a historic payout substantially above the 3.2% yield on the FTSE 100. They are also well ahead of the FTSE 250 and FTSE Small Cap indices, which yield 2.5% and 3% respectively. The £57m Shires trust and the £120m Henderson High Income offering have seen their NAVs rise 11.3% and 14.3% in the last year.
