Schroders' net inflows double to £27bn

Schroders saw net inflows soar to £27.1bn last year, almost double the £15bn taken in 2009.

Pre-tax profits also jumped to £406.9m for 2010, up from £137.5m the previous year. Funds under management rose to £196.7bn, exceeding the £148.4bn under management in 2009. The asset management arm contributed the most to these gains, posting profits of £381m in 2010, up from £174.7m in 2009. Net inflows into fixed income hit £9.8bn, boosting assets under management in this area to £33.8bn, almost double the level of two years ago.
