Jupiter chief Edward Bonham-Carter has delivered a downbeat market commentary although he believes we will not see a 1980s-style recession. “We might already be in a recession in the United States,” he said. “I am personally more optimistic in the UK. “I do not think we are going to have a global recession, but it is a big slowdown.” The announcement precedes the first anniversary of the group’s management buy-out, during which most senior managers took part in the acquisition of the firm from Commerzbank.
