The merger of Jupiter's Global Technology fund into John Chatfeild-Roberts' Global Managed vehicle has taken effect today. The vote was approved by unitholders on 16 April with a 97.75% majority vote in favour, resulting in £28m of assets being transferred into the Global Managed fund. Jupiter's decision was based on the narrowing of the technology sector caused by the fallout of the dotcom bubble, with the group deciding a more diversified approach to global investing will be more effective in the future.
