HSBC Alternative Investments Lts (HAIL) has appointed Nigel Webber chief executive officer, replacing Barbara Rupf Bee who has moved to HSBC Investments after two years as CEO. Webber is currently CIO of HSBC Private Bank, and will continue in this role as well as the CEO position. HAIL deals with hedge fund research and the management of fund of hedge fund portfolios. Webber said: "HAIL will continue to invest in the growth of the business with the goal of substantially increasing assets under management over the next three years."
