Edinburgh-based boutique SVM Asset Management prides itself on standing out from the crowd of larger investment institutions thanks to its small, close-knit team founded by a husband and wife. Launched in 1990 as Scottish Value Management – the name was later shortened to SVM – the firm has since launched eight retail offerings, two investment trusts and one hedge fund.
