On 1 September, the IA split the property sector into two sectors: UK Direct Property and Property Other.

The IA believes this will make it easier for consumers and their advisers to find information on funds investing specifically in bricks and mortar assets versus funds not investing in UK direct property assets. I believe this change will make it easier for investors to focus on the distinct, positive characteristics and investment opportunities offered by property securities funds.
