After Donald Trump's win, the cynic might begin to wonder what it will take to shock equity investors into a full-blown sell-off.

For me, the markets' rather laid back reaction was truly revelatory - readers will know that I have been anxiously predicting a 15% sell-off, which spectacularly failed to deliver. What we ended up with was a relief rally.  The good news is that over the next 12 months, there will be plenty of other big political events for investors not to panic about.
