Polar hires ex-Neptune's Unwin for technology team

Polar Capital has hired ex-Neptune manager and head of US equities Ali Unwin to its technology investment team, while also appointing an analyst from Neptune to the artificial intelligence fund.

Unwin joined the technology team, headed by Ben Rogoff and Nick Evans, on 26 June as a senior investment analyst. He managed the US Opportunities and Global Techology funds at Neptune and was head of US equities prior to his departure last August.  Since then, he has worked as co-portfolio manager on the American Equities fund at Arbrook Investors.  Meanwhile, Neptune's Nick Williams joined the Polar Capital team on 1 June as an investment analyst to work alongside Xuesong Zhao, lead manager of the Polar Capital Automation & Artificial Intelligence (A&AI) fund.
