Man Group hires GAM's Rickert to lead European real estate debt team

Targets 'conservative positioning' late cycle

Investment director at GAM Jon Rickert has left the firm to join Man Group as head of European private debt, as it seeks to expand its global private markets business, Man GPM, in the "late stage of the [market] cycle".

Rickert, who led GAM's real estate debt business for the last three years, will lead Man Group's commercial and residential real estate debt team, which is expanding its activity in euro-denominated real estate markets and lending opportunities.
