Invesco Asia trust announces fee change and new dividend policy

The board of the £186m Invesco Asia trust has introduced a marginal fee rate and new dividend policy among other changes announced in its half-year report released this morning.

Having increased or maintained the dividend for a decade, the board has now decided to raise the dividend each year, using the trust's revenue or capital reserves if necessary. The dividend per share for the trust has increased in seven of the last ten years and stayed the same for three while its revenue reserves have grown to an equivalent of 5p per share. An interim dividend of 2.8p per share has also been announced for the six months to 31 October. On last year's total dividend of 5.5p, the shares yielded 2.2%.
