Theresa May survives vote of no confidence

Theresa May has won a vote of confidence as leader of the Conservative Party tonight with the backing of 200 MPs.

It was announced at 9pm today (12 December) that there were 200 votes in favour of May continuing as Tory leader, and as UK Prime Minister, while 117 MPs said they did not have confidence in her in the secret ballot.
