Kames' Davis: The key challenges for CEOs in 2019

Kames Capital CEO Martin Davis has outlined what he believes are the challenges facing the asset management industry in 2019, and one factor that will wane next year.

Speaking exclusively to Investment Week, Davis said although regulation has been a major obstacle for many fund houses over the past decade, this could be less prominent in 2019. He said: "Since the Global Financial Crisis, one of the challenges has been increased regulation and to know how to navigate through that. "We appear to be near the end of that. Next year, other than SMCR, there is no RDR, PRIIPs, MiFID II or other very transformational regulations."
