GSAM soft closes £500m small-cap equity portfolio

Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has soft closed its quantitative small-cap equities strategy to new investors on the back of "strong client demand" and investment performance.

The $652m (£507m) AUM GS Global Small Cap CORE Equity portfolio soft closed on 16 November, but remains open to existing investors. GSAM to target UK with $10bn AUM ETF business in 2019 Managed by GSAM's Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) team, the portfolio combines quantitative techniques as well as traditional stock analysis to identify opportunities within the global small cap market.
