CRUX appoints ex-Lehman Brothers MD as chairman

CRUX Asset Management has hired former Lehman Brothers managing director Philip Howard as chairman.

He will replace Charles Ferguson, who is set to become a non-executive director at the firm. Prior to CRUX, Howard (pictured) was a senior independent director at Schroders, having been a non-executive director since 2008. He was also chief investment officer of Beazley, the Lloyds Insurer, for two years between 2013 and 2015 and chairman of Tarchon Capital Management. At Lehman Brothers, Howard served as deputy to the chairman in Europe until 1997 and was also a managing director.
