Close Brothers Asset Management has appointed Rathbones' Oliver Harvey as managing director to drive the growth of its high net worth (HNW) bespoke investment management service.
At Rathbones, Harvey (pictured) was an investment director specialising in discretionary private client fund management.
He has a total of 19 years' experience managing investments having started his career at Fleming Private Asset Management in 1999.
Martin Andrew, CEO of Close Brothers AM, said: "Our HNW bespoke investment service has gone from strength to strength, and is integral to our long-term plans.
"Oliver has extensive investment and private client experience and he will make an excellent addition and contribution to the growth of our office."
Harvey joins former colleague and managing director Tim Eliot-Cohen, who joined in September 2017 after a 17 year career at Rathbones.
Eliot-Cohen was responsible for the opening of the firm's ninth office across the UK in London.
