Aberdeen Standard Investments' McClymont joins FCA's cost disclosure working group

Aberdeen Standard Investment's retirement savings head and former MP Gregg McClymont has been appointed co-deputy chair to Chris Sier on the working group formed to look at the disclosure of institutional costs and charges, one of the regulator's "remedies" put forward in the final report of its Asset Management Market Study.

Former MP McClymont has been appointed co-deputy chair alongside Jeff Houston, head of pensions at the Local Government Association, to work with Sier on the working group, which was formed to "see more consistent and standardised disclosure of costs and charges to institutional investors". The working group will seek to agree a standardised disclosure template for 'mainstream' asset management services, which builds on the work already done by the LGPS and the Investment Association.
