IA issues new guidance to push long-term reporting among FTSE firms

Follows calls to abolish quarterly reporting

The Investment Association (IA) has published new guidance to encourage FTSE-listed companies to commit to long-term reporting standards, aiming to boost investor confidence and productivity in the UK. 

The guidelines outline the concerns of the UK's £5.7trn asset management industry on what is expected of companies that choose to list in the UK. The latest publication follows the IA's call in October to abolish quarterly reporting in favour of meaningful long-term reporting.
