MFS expands Meridian range with global equity fund

MFS Investment Management has launched the Prudent Capital fund - a global equity strategy which has the added flexibility to allocate to selective credit in the bond market.

The MFS Meridian® Funds 0 Prudent Capital fund, which is managed by Barnaby Wiener (pictured) and David Cole, also has the option to allocate part of its assets to cash to mitigate downside risks by reducing the overall market exposure. The vehicle aims to deliver above-average returns with below-average volatility relative to the MSCI World index over a full market cycle. The co-managers aim to achieve this by investing in a concentrated portfolio of equity and credit securities of businesses across the globe, regardless of the issuer's location.
