OMGI's Message departs as UK income fund handed to Meier

Stephen Message, manager of the £220m Old Mutual UK Equity Income fund, is leaving the firm after eight years following a review of the mandate.

The fund, which Message has run since December 2009, will be taken over by Ed Meier who will become lead manager with immediate effect. Prior to joining Old Mutual, Message worked for US private wealth manager Bessemer Trust, initially as an analyst then on the firm's international equity fund.  Meier has worked at Old Mutual since 2013 as a research analyst and UK equity portfolio manager.
