Neuberger Berman multi-asset team dampen EM outlook on Trump victory

Neuberger Berman's multi-asset team has lowered its outlook on investing in emerging market debt and equities as it takes a "more cautious" approach following the US election result.

The change in stance comes not long after the group's asset allocation committee identified a number of opportunities in the region in October, when it increased exposure across some of its multi-asset funds. But although its long-term view remains largely supportive for EMs, Neuberger Berman has lowered its 12-month outlook for both debt and equities, while weightings in this space have been reduced.
