LGIM investment head Meder becomes CEO of US business

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) head of investment Aaron Meder is to relocate to Chicago following his appointment as chief executive of the firm's American arm.

The move is a return to the US for Meder (pictured) who joined LGIM America (LGIMA) from UBS Global Asset Management in 2010 as head of US pension solutions, and was a key part of the firm's US expansion. He then moved to the UK in 2013 to head up LGIM's global head of solutions and was promoted to head of investment in 2015. John Bender has been acting as interim chief executive of LGIMA following the departure of Robert Moore in September.
