Private equity and multi-asset funds should rise

A list of the top ten listed alternative funds that will benefit from the "extraordinary" US elections - regardless of the outcome - has been put together by investment banking and research firm Liberum.

Alternative fund researcher at the firm Myrto Charamis said alternative funds with more than 20% exposure to the US markets, with a particular focus on private equity, technology and consumer stocks, will be resilient regardless of whether Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump wins the elections. She said: "The polls and the bookies suggest Hillary Clinton will win the 2016 US Election but the race could be close.
