UK fixed income, US and European equities all saw outflows in Q3, according to latest platform flow data from Old Mutual Wealth, with investors continuing to favour multi-asset funds.

In its latest quarterly investment figures, UK fixed interest sales on the platform fell from 32% in the second quarter of 2016 to 25%.  What are the challenges for bond investors as hunt for yield pushes them into riskier areas? Meanwhile, the European equities sector saw net outflows of 6% in the wake of the European referendum while US equities saw outflows of 2% ahead of the US presidential election on 8 November.
