Brown Shipley expands AUM by £450m with acquisition

Brown Shipley has acquired financial planning and wealth management company The Roberts Partnership, which has £450m in AUM, for an undisclosed sum.

Following the acquisition, which will complete on 1 November, The Roberts Partnership will become a subsidiary of Brown Shipley and will ultimately join its Manchester office. It will bring Brown Shipley's total AUM to in excess of £5bn. The acquisition comes as part of Brown Shipley's strategy to build on its financial advice proposition for clients and follows the acquisition of fellow wealth company Hampton Dean last year.
