Three 'difficult' years

Strengthening demand for commodities has been a light at the end of the tunnel for ETF Securities after three "difficult" years, according to CEO Mark Weeks.

Speaking to Investment Week, the chief executive (pictured) said 2016 has been a turnaround year for the firm, which has struggled previously due to its heavy reliance on commodity and gold exchange-traded products. The bulk of the firm's assets sit in these two areas, but commodities have had a torrid time over the last three years and as a result demand for the products has been at rock bottom.
