M&G's £5.8bn Global Dividend fund, run by Stuart Rhodes, is among a handful of funds to jump from a single Crown rating to the highest award of five Crowns in FE's latest bi-annual ratings rebalance.

Performance has started to turnaround for the fund, which has jumped into the top quartile of the IA Global sector over the past six months to 13 July. Top risers also include the £81.5m Newton Multi-Asset Diversified Return fund, run by Paul Flood, and small-cap focused Chelverton Growth trust, managed by David Taylor. A total of 325 funds were awarded five Crowns. The Crowns ratings evaluate funds according to alpha generation, volatility and the consistency with which they have beaten their benchmarks over the past three years.
