GAM to acquire Taube Hodson Stonex

GAM has entered into an agreement to acquire Taube Hodson Stonex (THS), with the transaction expected to complete in Q3.

At completion, the THS investment management business will transfer to GAM. This will involve the investment team, led by the four principals Cato Stonex, Mark Evans, Robert Smithson and Ali Miremadi, relocating to GAM's offices in London, while their strategies will be marketed under the GAM brand. THS, which currently manages approximately £1.78bn of assets as at 31 March 2016, has a long track record managing institutional mandates investing in global and European equities, using an active approach based on proprietary company research.
