Electra reports strong half-year returns as it kicks off strategic review

Electra Private Equity has reported a total NAV return of 15% in its half-yearly results, as it embarks on a strategic review for the first time in a decade.

In the six months to 31 March, Electra saw a total return to shareholders of £223m, representing a 15% total return on NAV per share. The group's total share price return during the same period was 9%, outperforming its FTSE All-Share benchmark, which returned 4%. It also reported a total portfolio return of 18% (£299m) in the six months, and has increased its interim dividend by 16% to 44p per share. The latest strong results come as the private equity group kicks off its first strategic review in 10 years, which will look at portfolio performance reporting among other issues. ...
