Former PM Gordon Brown joins Bernanke on PIMCO panel

Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown has joined a new global advisory board at PIMCO, alongside former Fed chairman Ben Bernanke and ex-president of the European Central Bank, Jean-Claude Trichet.

PIMCO said it had formed the group of "macroeconomic thinkers and policymakers" who will meet several times a year, according to City AM, and visit the firm's global offices. Brown (pictured), Bernanke and Trichet are joined by Ng Kok Song, former chief investment officer of the Government of Singapore Investment Corp sovereign wealth fund from 2007 to 2013, and Anne-Marie Slaughter, a former US Department of State policy director and president and chief executive of New America.
