AXA Framlington's Hooper made Peirson's co-manager on Managed Balanced fund

Jamie Hooper has been promoted to co-lead manager of the £953m AXA Framlington Managed Balanced fund alongside Richard Peirson, as Hooper prepares to take overall leadership of the fund.

Peirson (pictured) is relinquishing some reponsibilities on the fund as part of a long term succession plan but will still be responsible for the fund's overall asset allocation decisions.  As well as being promoted from deputy manager to co-lead manager, Hooper is taking charge of the UK equities in the fund while Nick Hayes, manager of the $480m offshore AXA World Funds Global Strategic Bonds fund, will take responsibility for the fixed income element of the portfolio from Peirson.
