L&G hires manager trio for UK Property as assets swell

Legal & General Property has hired a trio of asset managers for its UK Property fund as strong flows see assets surpass £2bn.

The two senior asset managers joining the team are Alex Waterworth, who will look after the fund's industrial assets, and Andrew Mercer, who will be in charge of the office assets.  Waterworth joins after 10 years at property firm JLL, while Mercer joins from Capita, where he spent six years. It has also hired Peter McNamara as an asset manager from property firm Colliers to work across all asset classes on the property team.  They join existing fund managers Mike Barrie and Matt Jarvis on the fund, which was launched in 2006 and converted to a Property Authorised Investment Fund (...
